What to expect from Routine Fitness
Routine Fitness routines are designed to allow you to achieve your goals - both in the personal training session as well as when you are alone. I believe that there should not be any surprises in training. The process below should give an idea of what you can expect from sessions with Routine Fitness.
Initial consultation Clients will have access to a free initial consultation. This will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour. During this consultation, you will have an opportunity to meet your trainer and to discuss your concerns, your goals and how we can achieve them. There is no obligation to continue after this consultation. Fitness assessment The fitness assessment is designed to gauge where your fitness levels are at so that your routines will be appropriate for you. The fitness assessment should not be something that you want to worry about. It can take up to 2 hours. There are four parts to the assessment: 1. Health Appraisal This is a pre-exercise questionnaire that you will complete before the assessment. This is to help make your trainer aware of medical issues that he should be aware of. 2. Body composition The assessments are a comprehensive series of measurements including weight, blood pressure, skinfolds and girth measurements. For some clients, the skinfold and girth measurements can be an area that they do not feel comfortable with. In these instances, you can discuss alternative options. They are not compulsory and it is important that you feel comfortable with the process. 3. Fitness Tests The fitness tests are a series of basic exercises. They are designed to assess your current levels - not to make you feel uncomfortable. They will determine, along with the outcomes from the initial consultation, the health assessment and the body composition, the structure of your Routine Fitness routine. 4. Nutrition If you would like assistance in relation to your food and drink this can be done as part of your programme. I will be able to discuss with you how your metabolism works and how you can structure your diet to achieve your goals. I have a strong background in food and should therefore be able to work with you to design a food programme outline. Routine Fitness Routines: Once the fitness assessments have been completed, your trainer will design a programme that is suited to you and your goals. The training session should be challenging, but enjoyable. It will start with a chat to see how you are and a warm up. This will be followed by the core of the exercise programme. Once that is done, there will be a cool down period to help your muscles to recover. And finally, an assisted stretch - where you get to relax and enjoy. Routine Fitness Reviews: A review of your programme will be scheduled every 6-8 weeks. This will be done together with a body composition assessment. This will allow you and your trainer to assess your progress and to review your routine. Reviews are important as they ensure that you are progressing to you goals and that you do not plateau or get bored with your routine. |
